The Story

Nulu Maple Brulee is a limited-release Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in "maple brûlée" casks. The barrels previously held maple syrup and are re-toasted, which caramelizes the residual sugars and infuses the whiskey with dessert-like flavors. Nulu Whiskey Co. is a brand of Prohibition Craft Spirits based in Louisville, Kentucky.
  • Nose: Aromas frequently include buttery maple, brown sugar, caramelized sugar, vanilla, and toasted oak. Depending on the barrel, some have noted fruity or spiced notes, such as red berry or cinnamon.
  • Palate: The taste is often rich and creamy with a full mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet maple syrup, baking spices (like nutmeg and clove), caramelized sugar, and toasted oak are common.
  • Finish: The finish is typically described as long, warming, and decadent, with lingering notes of sweet maple, butter, and spice.
